Jumelet Verhagen Advocaten has two partners and two associates.
Erszi Rademakers -
Marcel also studied law at Erasmus University at Rotterdam. He graduated in 1991 and joined a maritime law firm in 1992. He was admitted to the Rotterdam bar in that same year. He became a partner in that firm in 1999.
In 2002 together with Ton Jumelet he founded Jumelet Verhagen Advocaten.
Marcel has a variety of cases from amongst others the companies active in the port of Rotterdam such as tug companies, freight forwarders, ships agents stevedores, ship owners and ship managers, P&I Clubs, container lease companies, bunker suppliers. His work includes arrest work, personal injury claims, shipbuilding contracts and disputes, collision, salvage, and claims in general.
Marcel is the secretary of the Association of Dutch Transport Lawyers, a member of the Dutch Maritime Law Association, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, and the International Bar Association. He is a subscriber to the Association of Average Adjusters and a member of the IVR (International Rhine Treaty). He is also member of the board of the Dutch Maritime Arbitration Association TAMARA (Transport And Maritime Arbitration Rotterdam Amsterdam).
